The hottest day of the year so far for Elaine and Adrian’s big day in Kent at the wonderful Winters Barns in Canterbury.
I do love this venue and I haven’t been here in a while, as they’re have been some lovely improvements. The bridal prep area has always been, in my opinion, one of the best to shoot in Kent. It’s spacious and white and makes my job much easier, air-conditioned too. The groom’s preparation area has had a lovely transformation, and an area around the back of the pond; is all very well done and in exquisite taste.
The flowers done by Passion Floral Design were outstanding and very photogenic; plenty of examples are below.
The wedding ceremony was held outside as the weather was perfect but it can be switched inside at Winters Barns at a moment's notice as there’s plenty of space. There was an informal greeting line which instantly became a traditional one, a great way to see and greet everyone, but it ate into the allotted time for photos. Not a problem at all, as it was just too sunny, and the light was harsh for the romantic couple shots. So I would have postponed those until later and after the meal. A number of group photos later with the lovely crowd, and then everyone was called into the wedding breakfast.
The speeches ran very late but there was still plenty of light for the romantic shots around the grounds at Winters barns, even some in a field of crops adjacent.
